I am glad I purchased this fork. My bike is significantly lighter now. Besides the red lettering, it has a glossy vs. flat pattern that you can see when the angle of the light changes--it looks cool. The fork did change the "rake" of my bike. It is shorter than the shock-absorbing fork that it replaced, so the front of the bikes sits lower. I raised the handlebars to compensate for this and the bike feels comfortable. You will notice from the photo that I use high-volume tires. Fatter tires helps compensate a little for not having a shock anymore. For me, the bottom line is that this fork allowed me to shed at least 2 or 3 pounds off the bike. The front shocks on lower-end bikes are boat anchors. A high-end, light-weight shock is close to $1,000. For less than $100, the bike feels fast and nimble now.
