The cross bar helps alot but you can't use it and get all the way in a pallet. Also the tension bolts should have a swivel on the end like a c clamp and not just a nut...I use the forks on my property to move logs so I can cuddle a splitter Outlets hey whatever I needed for they seem to work really good thanks my wife a lot easierEasy hookup to the tractor lifted toolbox’s without even trying to drop them.CAUTION! The fork we received was inferior to the one pictured - and paid for - on amazon, but given our time restraint we were forced to use it. We could see it was a lightweight, inferior product , we were gentle, but it bent almost immediately. We had paid for and ordered one product but we were sent an inferior and less expensive replacement, but still charged the higher amount. We hope to resolve the price difference but its unlikely as there doesnt seem to be anyone responsible for this expensive mistake.Purchased forks rated for 4000# - more than needed, but figured would be more solid.They did show good craftsmanship, but design is faulty.On mounting, one fork stuck up about 2 inches above the other - made difficult to push under pallet.1st try using to move a pallet of about 800#; forks were impossible to lock onto front end loader without welding a bracket to the bottom of bucket or someway chaining it in place; stabilizer bar brackets bent during 1st attempt.I received the shipment early May with bolts that did not match the threads in the welded on nuts. After many emails, I finally received a tracking number for replacement bolts. The tracking number is invalid. It is now late July and I am still waiting. I had new attachments bolts made, but the clamps do not hold well. A chain must be used to hold the forks to the bucket. Don't waste your money.Was delivered quick. Perfect for what we purchased it for
